Sharing general content on your site is a great way to help others locate important information. Sharing your content with others increases its exposure, improving your chances of getting answers to your questions, adding to your Reputation score, and more. How you share content depends on the content type.
Share a question or answer
Each question or answer will have a Share link directly below the body of the post. Click this link to open a popover with the post's URL. Copy and share this URL with other users to send them directly to the question or answer.
NOTE: The share URL also contains your user ID at the end of the link (for example: https://stackoverflowteams.com/c/your-site/q/2976/719). The user ID is not necessary for the link to function, but removing it will prevent you from earning certain badges for sharing the link with others.
Share an article
Click Share article at the top right of any article to open a popover with the article's URL. Copy and share this URL to send other users directly to the article.
For more control, you can also send your readers to a specific heading in the shared article. Articles have a hyperlink icon directly to the right of each heading. Click this icon to scroll the article to that heading’s position and update the article URL in your browser. Copy and share the updated URL to send your readers to that specific heading. In most web browsers, you can also right- or option-click on the hyperlink icon to copy the heading’s link.
Share a Collection
Click on Share collection at the top right of any Collection to open a popover with the Collection's URL. Copy and share this URL to send other users directly to the Collection.
